Hayman
Island Resort is Australia’s most prestigious resort.
The
Hayman Island Resort's style is warm and friendly,
exactly as you would expect from a member of The Leading
Hotels of the World.
There
is always a feeling of pleasure in the air. Day and
night, Hayman Island Resort is the most idyllic tropical
paradise you can imagine. The Hayman experience is
everything you want it to be - the kind you often dream
about but rarely encounter. Sheer pleasure, gentle
elegance and superb service.
The multi-million
dollar art collection, antiques and the elegance of
its grand penthouses reveal impeccable taste. Master
chefs create exceptional meals reflecting the great
cuisines of the world.
The best
of all possible worlds. On an island.
Hayman
Island is part of the Whitsunday Passage, one of the
most beautiful waterways in the world. And as you’d
expect, our crystal waters offer a world of watersports
and activities.
Skimming
the surface on a ski, catamaran or sailboard, or parasailing
high above. Lazy snorkelling our beautiful underwater
coral gardens, or exploring them from the comfort of
a semi-submersible boat. Scuba diving face to face
with amazing fish, or feeding them by hand in the shallows
of the Great Barrier Reef - the sheer enjoyment seems
endless.
Maybe you’ll
fly to Whitehaven Beach to discover sand so pure and
white it almost defies the imagination. Or charter
a luxury yacht for a few days, complete with crew if
you wish.
Or meet the challenges of big game fishing.
On
land, the choices are equally
plentiful. Our tennis and squash
courts are open day and night.
Nature lovers can explore our
lush tropical gardens, or walk
meandering bush trails to secluded
bays and beaches. Ever wished
for your own deserted island?
We’ll drop you off by boat, complete
with a gourmet picnic.
Golfers
are well looked after. From our
picturesque putting green, a
fine target range and a fun low-tide
9-hole tidal course, to the excitement
of nearby Turtle Point Championship
Golf Course, golfers can experience
their game in true Hayman style.
Whether
you’re learning to scuba or snorkel
in our 5-star Dive Centre, improving
your golf swing, sharpening your
serve on any of six tennis courts,
or coming to grips with sailboarding,
Hayman’s sports instructors are
there to guide you.
And
after a day of activities, relax
with a sunset cruise on board
a luxury sailing yacht, or visit
Hayman Island Resort's Health
Club for workouts, saunas, massages
and more. Both are a perfect
prelude to enjoying the creations
of sixty chefs, served in magnificent
international restaurants.
A
walking trail circles the island
past a number of secluded bays
and craggy points and to the
various outlooks. To the west,
the mainland of Australia can
be seen, some 33 kilometres (20.5
miles) away and to the south,
Hook Island, Whitsunday Island,
South and North
Molle Islands.
Coral
outcrops on the southern and
eastern sides of Hayman Island
edge to the narrow passage between
Hayman Island and Hook Island.
Close to Hayman Island, smaller
islands such as Black Island
(locally known as Bali Hal) and
Langford Reef present popular
picnic and snorkelling locations
with sandy beaches and coral
growths.
Bali
Hal is only 10 minutes by boat
from Hayman Island Resort and
a must for a lazy sun soaked
picnic adventure. The islands
close to Hayman Island Resort
are all national parks and give
opportunities for glorious boating,
whether under power or sail.
The
islands are a popular destination
for full and half day trips.
